The Funky Art Exhibition @ The Jam Factory Oxford
6th March - 2nd April, 2012 "The Jam Factory are proud to present work from the Funky Art Gallery. The collaborative exhibition will showcase original and contemporary work by artists from the UK, Netherlands, Switzerland and Spain.
The Funky Art Gallery is an online art gallery which gives up and coming artists a opportunity to not only sell work via the website internationally, but also to exhibit their work worldwide. Founded by Oxford based Artist Joëlle Dinnage the Funky Art Gallery has been able to exhibit contemporary art with a funky edge using a variety of mediums, including paintings, drawings, photography art, sculptures and digital art. The Jam Factory are excited to be a part of the Funky Art Gallery’s expansion, with the next events being held in Barcelona, Amsterdam and Marrakech.
On speaking about the online gallery Joelle Dinnage writes
"I choose the name The Funky Art Gallery as we are showcasing art that is urban & contemporary. We sell original funky art that is bold in colours, urban and sometimes provocative - our art stands out!”
The gallery is proud to have well-known London artist Darren Macpherson on board, who has been awarded for several titles including Top 100 Most Popular Emerging Artists. Darren and fellow artist Carlos M Burgos have both showcased work at The Orange County Centre for Contemporary Art as part of London Calling exhibition in California.
The exhibition is sponsored by The Global Art Agency and Easy Green Print a local Oxford online printer who helped with the printing costs for the exhibition.
Works on show during the exhibition range from £70 - £3000."
