I am a visual artist based in Coventry. I use many mediums including oil, acrylic , watercolours and mixed media. My paintings are expressive and show alot of movement and emotion. I adapt many household objects and have found that using a screwdriver helps me to achieve the best effect for my drippy style work .
My paintings have featured in gallery’s around the country and I have held my own exhibitions in Coventry. In April 2010 I was interviewed and featured in Virgin Trains Hotline magazine for the Coventry Open.
I gain inspiartion from many artists who are famous or those I meet through my social networking. As a child I was blown away by the work of Van Gogh which I saw at the National Gallery in London. Other favourites of mine include Jackson Pollock for his use of vibrant colours and his vivid imagination and Claude Monet.
My grandma who has sadly passed away was always my biggest fan and the driving force behind me following my dreams. I was always painting and drawing as a child and it was her encouragment that made me believe in my abilities. Whilst at senior school my art teacher Mr Jackson was fantastic and I learnt a great deal from him and I realised that there can be career in art.
My interests include art, surfing tho I’m not very good , 90′s Indie Rock music, photography , nature and socialising . My main passion is old VW Campers and Bettles and I often visit VW shows in the summer months.
